Melanie & Jesse, The Greystone Estate

Melanie and Jesse married on June 1st at the beautiful Greystone Estate in Ball Ground, Georgia. Yes, I know… It’s now December but I just couldn't let this wedding slip through the radar. It rained all morning leading up to the ceremony with very infrequent breaks in between but they didn’t let that stress them out or take away from their day. We can’t control the weather and Melanie being the calm and collected bride she was was quick to accept and move forward with our rain plan.

Most brides marry outside at The Greystone Estate. The surroundings are quite incredible and make for some amazing photos but I will tell you …. after you witness this wedding, you' may find yourself wanting to marry inside at The Greystone Estate!

Amber Cather Photography did a stellar job capturing their wedding day and the gorgeous surroundings despite the less than stellar weather conditions. The bridal party was able to sneak outside after the Ceremony for some photos and later the Bride and Groom for some ‘sunset’ shots. Y’all… overcast skies and rain can make for some truly incredible photos!

I had a guest tell me that they loved being able to see the bride and groom and their expressions throughout the ceremony in the mirrors and I just LOVED that!

So I am about a year behind on this, almost exactly. Jen and Brandon celebrated their 1 year wedding anniversary yesterday. I have tons of weddings to blog and catch up on so look out for those in coming weeks but I thought let’s start with them! Happy Anniversary you two!

Jen reached out to me about 3 months before her October wedding to help find a few remaining vendors and pull their budget, planning and vision together. They had many of the fundamentals but needed the expertise to tie it all together.

A few unique elements to their wedding was the request to serve an all Vegan Meal to the guests and the bride needing a make up artist that worked with cruelty free products only. (such a wonderful thing to look out for btw) The Catering they had already secured but we were able to use our resources to find the perfect match for them in Becca Bussert, an Atlanta based Natural Makeup artist that used free beauty products! Jen spent countless hours decorating pieces for her wedding day from spraying leaves and pinecones gold and putting together photo collages to collecting miscellaneous glass jars for her centerpieces.

I particularly loved their three cake selection. Definitely had multiple cakes before that was a thing, you’re welcome Megan Markle.

Southern Brunch Wedding

Brunch weddings are becoming increasingly popular for a number of reasons. Not only can they be more affordable but there are so many fun elements that can be added to make it a truly unique event. I mean really, who doesn't love brunch? 

Think: Waffles, Donuts and Biscuits. Mimosa, Bloody Mary and Coffee bars. If you decide to have a brunch wedding, there are so many fun menu options and decor to bring your event to the next level.
